Times Are A-Changin’ – Digital Ad Spending Skyrockets

When you think of advertising, you probably think of flashy print ads and multimillion-dollar commercials during the Super Bowl. However, according to a new report from the Interactive Advertising Bureau, digital advertising is making a big push into the industry.

Advertising online is a great way to spread brand awareness, and more advertising and marketing professionals make it a part of their digital strategies. The report indicated that during the third quarter of 2015, digital advertising spending hit $15 billion, marketing a 23% increase from a year earlier when spending reached $12.2 billion.

“Brands and agencies are focusing even more attention on interactive screens, following consumers as they flock to digital platforms to be entertained, engaged and informed,” said Sherrill Mane, Senior Vice President, Research, Analytics, and Measurement at IAB.
